Crochet 101

Designed for the absolute beginner, this class will cover basic crochet techniques including chaining, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, and weaving in ends. These skills will set you up to create easy projects such as coasters, washcloths, scarves, cowls, headbands, or fingerless mitts.

Day/Time: Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30pm

Dates: September 16, 23, 30, Oct 7, 21, & 28 (NOTE: No class on Oct 14)

Ages: 12 & up

Cost: $72.00

Required Materials:

  • Crochet Hook: Size US I/5.5mm

  • One skein of economical medium (worsted) weight (category 4) yarn in a solid color (no variegated/multicolored yarn). Recommended Brands: Red heart Super Saver or Big Twist. Recommended Colors: Medium shade, not too dark like black or navy, not too bright like white or bright yellow.
